Organizers' Workshop

Sunday, October 25th, 3:30 PM

War and occupation are at the core of a bipartisan consensus in Washington despite the death and devastation inflicted. The Greater Boston Stop the Wars Coalition is hosting an Organizers' Workshop to discuss what we can do in our schools, communities, and workplaces to build a united and broad based social movement, challenge the war-makers, and bring the all troops home now! History has demonstrated that successful challenges to the status quo are the product of collective, united, mass social movements.

The International Coalition to End the Illegal Siege of Gaza formed after Israel's 22-day assault on Gaza in winter 2008-09.We are a diverse coalition that represents all faiths (and no faith) and is focused on human rights in conformance with international law.

To mark the fact that is has been one year since the Israeli attack, the coalition is mobilizing an international contingent for a nonviolent march alongside the people of Gaza on Dec. 31, to end the illegal blockade.

National Assemby to End the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars and Occupations

National Assembly to End the Iraq and
Afghanistan Wars and Occupations

July 10-12, 2009

Pittsburgh, PA

In the aftermath of the March 21 and April 3-4 demonstrations, a number of critical questions must be addressed by the antiwar movement: What next for the movement? Where do we go from here? How can we broaden the movement and win new forces to our cause? How can we help ensure that our next demonstrations are larger than the ones organized in March and April and that the ones organized after those will be even larger?
